Maybe being 'antagonizing' is a poor word, but don't we understand the police to have a role in capitalist society, and keeping people in line via race and class, gender lines. Thus, when we organize against the police, we aren't trying to 'hold them accountable,' ala, make them work 'correct,' we are struggling against their role in society, and thus against class society.

I think talking about 'accountability' leads to the thinking that the system can work ok if there are enough rules for it.

I agree with you lilprole

i think the students organizing the event have that language for security reasons, but i think our discussion will bring up the points you've made :)
