On the Recent Arizona Shootings

On the Recent Arizona Shootings

"Being an old farm boy myself, chickens coming home to roost never did make me sad..."
-Malcolm X

I just wanted to share my thoughts on the recent shootings in Arizona of a federal judge and Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford by Jared Loughner. I think it's a clear sign of crisis when those within the power structure fight each other, but it also presents opportunity for the oppressed.

Jared Loughner, even though the media has failed to do so, is most likely linked to the neo-fascist and racist Tea Party, which is most definitely armed in the state of Arizona. Who were all upset at the congresswoman over a recent health bill, and had issued death threats.

There is already a climate that exists of terror, repression, state violence, and racism in the state of Arizona, and within this climate you have people from the ruling class fighting each other; where the usual targets of these wing-nuts are working class people of color. This proves, to me, that this empire is falling apart.

One thing we can be sure of is that the climate and repression will remain the same and even intensify, with these recent shootings. The conditions will not change for Brown, Indigenous, and all other people of color. This is certain.

This is why I also say that there is always opportunity within crisis, while those in power fight for control of the empire, we can build the world that we dream of and that is in our hearts. Not to say everyone that was targeted was part of the ruling class, or capitalists, they were also victims of the struggle for power by the same people who murder Brown and Black People all over the world.

In Rebellion,
